My Name is John Carroll/Designer Décor. I live in Ballynahinch Co Down and specialise in hand painting kitchens.

For the past 25 of my 36 years decorating experience I have specialised in hand painted kitchens. I have painted approx 300 new kitchens for Robinson Interiors who won the award for the best retail company in Britain and Ireland.

My niche is in transforming existing kitchens from mahogany waxed pine, pine, oak etc to showroom condition. There are endless possibilities and many ideas to transform your kitchen.

The quality of the material is vital to ensure a 1st class finish and all works are carried out personally. My work is regularly featured in Ireland’s leading magazines.

The finished product can be unique or can be based on a finish such as Chalon, Smallbone, Christians style broken colour, solid colour or antique finish.

The materials used are specially made to withstand kitchen use (not paint from a tin which looks good for a short time)

Any furniture that can be removed will be taken to my workshop to ensure the least inconvenience.

Clean down surface and denib in wet state to leave a bonding film.(no dust and no need to empty cupboards). Etch prime, apply paint finishes and apply 2 pack lacquer.

You may just want your timber kitchen revived with a stain or re-lacquered.
